Lead pharmacy operations and clinical services as the Director of Pharmacy at a historic acute care hospital located on Chicago’s South Side. This direct hire opportunity offers a competitive salary range of $165,000 to $185,000 annually, plus an annual bonus and potential relocation assistance. Location: Chicago, Illinois (South Side)
Employment Type: Direct Hire, Permanent
Pharmacy Hours:

  • Monday–Friday: 7:00 AM – 10:00 PM
  • Saturday–Sunday: 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM
  • Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee all clinical, operational, administrative, staffing, and financial aspects of the pharmacy department
  • Lead a diverse team of approximately 20 pharmacy professionals (full-time, part-time, PRN)
  • Collaborate with hospital administration and clinical leadership to ensure optimal patient care
  • Ensure compliance with Joint Commission and CMS regulations
  • Manage pharmacy service delivery in a community-focused hospital setting
  • Qualifications:

  • Active Illinois Pharmacist License in good standing (mandatory)
  • Minimum 3 years of Director of Pharmacy experience in an acute care inpatient hospital
  • Minimum 3 years of acute care inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
  • Experience managing a multi-level pharmacy team including full-time, part-time, and PRN staff
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • PharmD degree strongly preferred
  • Board Certification and hospital pharmacy residency completion are advantages
  • Experience working in a community or safety-net hospital setting
