Soliant Health is seeking an experienced Director of Pharmacy for a permanent leadership opportunity in Chicago, Illinois. This is an excellent opportunity for a proven acute care pharmacy leader to oversee clinical, operational, administrative, staffing, and financial functions while making a meaningful impact in a community-focused hospital serving an underserved population.

Position Details

  • Employment Type: Direct Hire, Permanent
  • Location: Chicago, Illinois
  • Setting: Approximately 135-bed acute care hospital
  • Pharmacy Team: Lead a department of approximately 20 full-time, part-time, and PRN employees
  • Salary: $165,000–$185,000 annually, commensurate with experience
  • Bonus: Eligible for annual company bonus
  • Relocation: Assistance may be considered based on relocation distance
  • Key Responsibilities

  • Provide full-scope leadership for the clinical, operational, administrative, staffing, and financial management of the pharmacy department
  • Lead and develop a multi-level pharmacy team across full-time, part-time, and PRN staff
  • Partner with hospital administration and clinical leadership to support patient care and organizational goals
  • Maintain strong regulatory compliance, including Joint Commission and CMS standards
  • Drive pharmacy operations and clinical services within a community-focused acute care hospital
  • Required Qualifications

  • Active Illinois Pharmacist License in good standing — required
  • Minimum of 3 years of Director of Pharmacy experience in an acute care inpatient hospital — required
  • Minimum of 3 years of acute care inpatient hospital pharmacy experience — required
  • All active and inactive pharmacist licenses must be disclosed and verified to be in good standing
  • Strong leadership experience managing pharmacy staff and operations
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • PharmD strongly preferred
  • Board Certification strongly preferred
  • Pharmacy residency experience is a plus
  • Experience with Joint Commission and CMS compliance
  • Background working in a community hospital or safety-net hospital setting

    Monday–Friday: 7:00 AM–10:00 PM
    Saturday–Sunday: 7:00 AM–8:00 PM
