Two openings are available for skilled Clinical Pharmacists at a rehabilitation hospital in Omaha, NE. This facility specializes in providing comprehensive care focused on rehabilitation without emergency room or obstetrics services. The primary pharmacy responsibilities center on managing Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) and intravenous antibiotics for patients, most of whom are undergoing three-hour therapy sessions on the rehab unit.

This contract-to-hire role requires an active Nebraska pharmacist license. Experience with TPN and IV antibiotic management is highly valued, but candidates willing to learn and adapt quickly to this specialized environment are encouraged to apply. Familiarity with or willingness to train on the Altera Sunrise system is essential to support pharmacy operations effectively in this setting.

Responsibilities include:

  • Accurately preparing, reviewing, and dispensing medications, especially TPNs and IV antibiotics, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols
  • Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to optimize pharmaceutical care for rehab patients
  • Participating in clinical rounds and providing pharmacologic guidance as appropriate
  • Managing medication inventory and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards
  • Supporting weekend coverage on a rotating basis
  • Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Active Nebraska pharmacist license
  • Experience with clinical pharmacy in a hospital or rehab setting preferred
  • Ability to work independently and integrate quickly into the team
  • Comfortable engaging with electronic health record systems, with Altera Sunrise training provided as needed
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Schedule/Hours:

  • Monday to Friday standard hours with a Saturday shift from 8 AM to 4 PM
  • Rotating weekend coverage
