Join a dynamic healthcare team as a Remote Pharmacy Technician supporting Medicare Part B operations. This temp-to-hire opportunity offers a chance to leverage your expertise in prior authorizations and utilization management while working remotely with a flexible schedule. Candidates must hold current PTCB certification and have relevant experience serving Medicare populations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing and processing prior authorization requests following established policies and decision trees
  • Receiving and entering prior authorization requests from provider offices
  • Supporting Medicare Part B medication prior authorizations and preferred product strategies
  • Contacting providers and hospitals to gather clinical documentation for authorization review
  • Communicating authorization decisions and providing follow-up to providers and members
  • Assisting with alternative treatment options when needed
  • Providing operational support to Pharmacy Technicians, Pharmacists, and Physicians for timely decisions
  • Serving as a liaison for internal teams, external providers, and operational partners
  • Supporting offshore clinical partners involved in utilization management workflows
  • Interpreting plan benefits and entering specialty pharmacy overrides for accurate claim adjudication
  • Required Qualifications:

  • PTCB certification is mandatory
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Pharmacy Technician
  • Experience with Medicare Part B operations, especially utilization management, prior authorizations, or pharmacy help desk roles
  • Familiarity working with Medicare populations
  • Proficiency with multiple computer systems and Google Workspace or G Suite
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Prior utilization management and prior authorization experience highly preferred
  • Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, either 11:30 AM – 8:00 PM ET or 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM ET
  • Mandatory rotating weekends
  • No days off during the last three months except emergency situations
