Soliant Health is currently seeking an experienced Travel Pharmacist for a 13-week assignment at a ~150-bed community hospital located in the beautiful town of Lewiston, Idaho. This role is ideal for a pharmacist who thrives in a hospital setting and is ready for an exciting travel opportunity.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Order Verification: Ensure accurate medication orders, verifying dosages, interactions, and patient-specific factors.
  • Supervision of Technicians: Oversee pharmacy technicians, providing guidance and ensuring compliance with hospital protocols.
  • Physician Consultations: Collaborate with physicians to optimize patient therapy, offering expert advice on medication selection, dosing, and adjustments.
  • Pharmacokinetics: Manage and monitor drug levels, especially for critical medications, to ensure therapeutic efficacy and patient safety.
  • Medication Safety: Actively participate in hospital initiatives to improve medication safety and adherence to best practices.
  • Patient Interaction: Engage with patients and healthcare providers to address medication-related concerns and ensure a high level of care.

    Schedule:

  • Variable shifts, including days and afternoons, providing flexibility and the chance to work in different departments within the hospital.

    Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds an active Idaho pharmacist license.
  • Has prior experience in a hospital pharmacy setting, with a strong understanding of clinical and operational pharmacy processes.
  • Demonstrates a positive, can-do attitude, with the ability to adapt to changing environments and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Is willing to embrace the travel lifestyle, with a passion for delivering quality care in diverse settings.
