We are looking for a committed and experienced Pharmacy Technician for an 8-week contract role at a specialty pharmacy in Oakland Park, FL. This position offers the opportunity to work in a compassionate and professional setting dedicated to HIV/AIDS care. The successful candidate will bring a solid background in high-volume retail pharmacy and a sensitivity to the unique needs of our patient population.

Job Title: Pharmacy Technician (8-Week Contract)

Location: Oakland Park, FL (Fort Lauderdale area)

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 8 weeks

Shift:

  • Monday - Friday: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM
  • Saturday: 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM (Must be flexible to work Saturdays)

    Setting: HIV/AIDS Specialty Pharmacy

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform typical retail pharmacy duties, including data entry and medication dispensing.
  • Ensure high levels of patient care and support, demonstrating respect and non-judgmental attitudes.
  • Assist with tasks as needed, exhibiting strong pharmacy intuition and proactive involvement.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with patients and healthcare providers.
  • Use QS1 software for pharmacy management; training available for the right candidate.

    Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a high-volume retail pharmacy setting.
  • Experience with HIV/AIDS medications is highly desirable; please ensure this is noted on your resume.
  • Must hold a valid Florida Pharmacy Technician license. PTCB certification is a plus but not required.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to consistent daily attendance.
  • Positive attitude and a proactive approach to pharmacy duties.
