We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Pharmacy Technician for a Prior Authorization role within our Ambulatory team in Philadelphia. This 13-week contract position offers comprehensive on-site training, with the flexibility of remote work for the latter part of the contract. Ideal candidates will have robust prior authorization experience, excellent communication skills, and a professional phone presence.

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Start Date: September 16

Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM (Monday through Friday, no weekends; 8.5-hour shift with a 30-minute unpaid lunch)

Work Arrangement: On-site training for the first 8-10 weeks, followed by remote work for the remainder of the contract

Key Responsibilities:

Process prior authorization requests efficiently and accurately.

Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, patients, and insurance companies.

Handle and resolve prior authorization inquiries and issues.

Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of all interactions and processes.

Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications:

Strong prior authorization experience is required.

Experience in a managed care or prior authorization setting is highly desired. Retail pharmacy technicians with 2-3 years of recent experience and significant prior authorization experience will also be considered.

Excellent communication skills and a professional phone presence.

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPHT) required, as Pennsylvania does not regulate pharmacy technicians.
