Pharmacy Technician - Sterile Compounding

Location: Cleveland, OH
Environment: Inpatient Hospital

Job Summary:
RPh on the go is seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacy Technician specializing in Sterile Compounding to join our team in a busy inpatient hospital setting in Cleveland, OH. The successful candidate will assist pharmacists in the retrieval, processing, preparation, and distribution of medications and sterile products for patient administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist pharmacists with the preparation of unit dose medications, IV admixtures, parenteral nutrition (TPN), floor stock pharmaceuticals, and controlled substances.
  • Accurately retrieve, process, and prepare sterile products for patient administration, adhering to hospital protocols and safety standards.
  • Maintain and manage inventory, ensuring the availability of necessary medications and supplies.
  • Comply with hospital regulations, including the proper handling and documentation of controlled substances and other pharmaceuticals.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure timely and accurate medication delivery to patient care units.

    Work Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

    Qualifications:

  • Inpatient hospital pharmacy technician experience.
  • Experience in Sterile Compounding and TPN (Total Parenteral Nutrition) preparation.
  • Active Ohio Pharmacy Technician License.
  • CPhT (Certified Pharmacy Technician) national certification required.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Familiarity with hospital-based pharmacy software systems.
