Schedule:
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: 13 weeks Contract to Hire
Shift:  Mon-Fri 2:00p-10:00p; rotating weekends
Position: Pharmacy Technician II

Job Responsibilities:
- Pulling, filling/dispensing, and staging medications
- Blister/bubble/multi-dose packing
- Maintaining accuracy and productivity standards of the pharmacy
- Labeling products appropriately
- Participating in periodic inventory checks
- Assisting in the training of new employees
- Handling controlled drugs, pre-packing drugs, or managing inventory functions
- Inputting patient data and medication orders into a computer system
- Mixing/packaging IV medications and servicing medication dispensing machines
- Control Room (for controlled substances)
- MTS (prepack/blister pack machines)
- Purchasing (inventory control)
- IVs
- Servicing facility-based medication dispensing machines (experience with Omnicell/Pyxis should work)


Qualifications:
- At least 6 months of experience
- PTCB preferred but not required
- Long-term care experience is preferred
- UT Pharmacy Tech license
- Experience in a pharmacy setting and with medical terminology
- Ability to operate a computer and recognize/identify medications
- Detail-oriented, goal-oriented, and effective oral communication skills
- Must be a team player
- Strong ability to multi-task
