Pharmacy Manager Job - New Orleans, LA

Soliant, a leading healthcare staffing provider, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Pharmacy Manager to join our team in New Orleans. This position offers an opportunity to make an immediate impact, and the ideal candidate should be able to start quickly. The Pharmacy Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing the operations of the pharmacy department, potentially assuming the responsibilities of a Pharmacist In Charge (PIC), and coordinating staffing.

Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and supervision to a team consisting of one full-time pharmacist, five PRN pharmacists, one full-time technician, and one PRN technician.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the pharmacy department, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize medication safety and patient care.
- Assume PIC responsibilities if needed.
- Manage staffing and scheduling to ensure appropriate coverage.
- Utilize the pharmacy information system, WellSky, as well as the automation systems, Omnicell and Pyxis.
- Perform IV compounding with a focus on accuracy and adherence to aseptic techniques.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance pharmacy services.
- Share on-call responsibilities with other pharmacists.

Requirements:
- Active Louisiana pharmacist license in good standing.
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Manager or in a similar leadership role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, regulations, and best practices.
- Experience in a hospital or acute care setting is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using pharmacy information systems and automation technology.
- IV compounding experience is required.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Willingness to assume PIC responsibilities if necessary.
