Position Title: Staff Pharmacist
Employment Type: Permanent
Location:  State College, PA
Schedule: Variable days/afternoons (primarily 8-hour day shifts)
IT System: Meditech

Overview:
This dual-role pharmacist position supports both central pharmacy operations and ambulatory care services. It’s ideal for someone who wants hands-on experience with diverse patient care activities and the chance to build well-rounded clinical expertise. Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and enter medication orders with accuracy and clinical judgment

  • Dispense medications in a timely, safe, and efficient manner

  • Provide drug information and clinical recommendations as needed

  • Conduct ongoing drug therapy monitoring and document findings

  • Oversee operations in sterile compounding, including high-risk preparations, narcotic infusions, and chemotherapy

  • Perform pharmacist-managed consults and clinical interventions per protocol

  • If assigned to ambulatory care: recommend or manage therapy via collaborative practice agreements

    Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor’s in Pharmacy or PharmD

  • PGY1 residency or minimum of 3 years of clinical experience

  • Active Pennsylvania pharmacist license or eligibility to obtain
