A leading compounding pharmacy is seeking a seasoned Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to oversee regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and operational leadership at its facility in Albany, Ohio. This onsite role offers a stable, growth-oriented environment with strong leadership exposure in a nationally recognized organization. Candidates open to relocation will be supported with a relocation package, and there is potential for a temp-to-perm traveler arrangement for the ideal fit.

  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge for Ohio and other state licenses as needed
  • Ensure compliance with FDA, DEA, State Boards of Pharmacy, and Section 503B regulations
  • Maintain pharmacist and facility licensure across multiple states
  • Lead and represent the facility during Board of Pharmacy, FDA, and DEA inspections
  • Develop, review, and maintain SOPs and training materials
  • Oversee regulatory reporting, recalls, complaints, and quality investigations
  • Provide regulatory guidance to cross-functional teams
  • Manage QA/QC activities including batch record review, deviations, investigations, environmental monitoring
  • Lead validation efforts for equipment, systems, and processes
  • Maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) and review change controls, labeling, and product reviews
  • Oversee vendor qualification, incoming materials, and reserve samples
  • Perform root cause analyses and present quality metrics to leadership
  • Qualifications:

  • Active Ohio Pharmacist license in good standing
  • Experience with multi-state licensure preferred
  • BS Pharmacy or PharmD degree
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience managing teams
  • In-depth knowledge of cGMP, FDA, DEA regulations, sterile injectable manufacturing, and non-sterile compounding
  • Demonstrated ability to lead inspections and regulatory audits
  • Strong communication skills for clear presentations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Preferred Experience:

  • 10+ years in pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device industries
  • 7+ years in quality or compliance roles with increasing responsibility
