Job Title: Pharmacist – Hospital Setting
Location: San Bernardino, CA
Schedule: 4x10 hour shifts per week (mainly days, some weekends)
Job Type: Contract (13 weeks+)
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Pharmacist to join our hospital team in San Bernardino, CA. The position offers a 4-day workweek, with 10-hour shifts, primarily during the day with some weekend coverage. This role focuses on providing high-quality pharmaceutical care, including order verification, supervising technicians, consulting with physicians and nurses, and applying pharmacokinetic principles to optimize patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:

Order Verification: Ensure accurate medication orders, verify dosages, and check for potential interactions.

Supervising Technicians: Lead and supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth pharmacy operations.

Consultation: Collaborate with physicians and nurses to ensure optimal pharmacotherapy for patients.

Pharmacokinetics: Apply pharmacokinetic principles to ensure appropriate drug selection, dosing, and therapeutic monitoring.

Patient Safety: Uphold the highest standards of medication safety and quality patient care. Technology Experience Required:

Cerner (Electronic Health Record System)

Omnicell (Medication Management System) Ideal Candidate:

Licensure: Must have an active California Pharmacist License.

Experience: Prior hospital pharmacy experience required.

Strong knowledge in pharmacokinetics and ability to consult effectively with clinical teams.

Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment. What’s in it for you:
