We are seeking a licensed and experience Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician for a full-time, 13-week contract-to-hire role in Houston, TX.

Schedule: full-time, (6:00 PM - 2:00 AM).

Responsibilities:

  • Organize and plan the preparation of sterile admixtures and home medical equipment orders with guidance from the Pharmacist.
  • Perform calculations for product preparation, securing validation from the Pharmacist prior to compounding/mixing.
  • Compound sterile admixtures and non-admixtures, including parenteral nutrition, antibiotics, chemotherapy, hydration, and narcotic analgesics, following aseptic techniques in accordance with state laws.
  • Create labels, prescriptions, compounding/mixing worksheets, and manage product lot numbers, expiration dates, and batch records.
  • Generate delivery/pick slips under Pharmacist supervision and execute supply and home medical equipment pick and pull activities.
  • Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and compliance with company policies in compounding/clean room areas and equipment.
  • Gather supply inventories from patients/clients and relay pertinent information to the Pharmacist.
  • Actively engage in branch management, department, and intra-departmental meetings, along with participating in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Adhere to accreditation, OSHA, FDA, state, local, and federal regulations and standards relevant to infusion pharmacy and home medical equipment.


    Requirements:

  • Sterile Compounding Experience.
  • IV Certification.
  • Texas Pharmacy Technician License.
