Exciting Job Opportunity: Outpatient Pharmacy Patient Services Representative (PSR) with Billing Expertise

Location: Outpatient Pharmacy
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Duration: 13 weeks (With potential for permanent hire for the right candidate)

Position Overview:
We’re looking for an experienced and compassionate Patient Services Representative (PSR) with billing expertise to join our Outpatient Pharmacy team! This is a key role where you’ll provide outstanding service to patients while managing insurance and billing inquiries. Plus, there’s potential to transition into a permanent position for the right candidate!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Interaction: Be the first point of contact for patients, providing excellent service and ensuring a smooth check-in experience.
  • Insurance and Billing Expertise: Manage insurance information, co-pays, deductibles, and balances. Address any billing or insurance discrepancies promptly and professionally.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with various tasks to ensure the pharmacy team operates efficiently.

    What We’re Looking For:

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience in a healthcare setting, with a strong focus on billing and insurance.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication to interact effectively with both patients and team members.
  • Technical Proficiency: Comfortable with computers and office equipment to manage administrative tasks.
  • Patient-Centered: A compassionate, patient-first approach to care and the ability to handle sensitive situations.
  • Adaptability: Thrive in a fast-paced environment and respond well to shifting priorities.
