Inpatient Hospital Pharmacist – Long-Term Contract | California

Soliant Health is seeking a clinically driven and adaptable Inpatient Pharmacist to join a long-term contract at one of the largest public health systems in California. This is a unique opportunity to gain experience within a major Los Angeles County Department of Health facility, supporting a diverse patient population across a high-volume inpatient setting.
This position offers the chance to work alongside a collaborative pharmacy team and develop your clinical skills in an environment that fosters learning and long-term career potential. Many pharmacists in similar roles have transitioned into permanent County employment over time, although timelines for direct hire may vary.

Schedule:

Full-time, 8-hour shifts

Candidates must be flexible to work across all shifts, with primary focus on first and second shifts

Occasional third shift coverage may be required Responsibilities Include:

Verify and dispense medication orders accurately and efficiently

Monitor patient medication therapies and adjust treatment as necessary under physician guidance

Provide drug information to physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals

Participate in interdisciplinary care rounds and clinical pharmacy initiatives

Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and state/federal regulations

Utilize clinical judgment in dosing, renal adjustments, and pharmacokinetics Required Experience and Qualifications:

Active and unrestricted California Pharmacist license

Minimum of 1 year of recent hospital pharmacy experience

PGY1 residency training required OR equivalent inpatient clinical experience in a hospital setting

Strong understanding of sterile compounding, medication reconciliation, and order verification

Excellent communication and decision-making skills
