Soliant Health is seeking a capable and committed Inpatient Pharmacist for a full-time contract position at a 250-bed community hospital in Charleston, West Virginia. As part of a larger regional health system, this facility offers a collaborative clinical environment and the opportunity to support acute care patients in a hands-on pharmacy role.

Position Overview:
Location: Charleston, WV
Setting: Community Hospital (Inpatient)
Facility Size: 250 beds
Schedule: Variable day and afternoon shifts
Start Date: ASAP
System: Pyxis and standard EHR platforms
Employment Type: Contract (with potential for extension)
Key Responsibilities:
Review, verify, and dispense medication orders and prescriptions
Supervise preparation of IV admixtures and chemotherapy agents
Provide drug therapy consultations, including dosing calculations and lab monitoring
Ensure continuity of care between shifts through accurate handoffs
Resolve medication-related issues and follow up with providers as needed
Monitor and manage lab orders, department communications, and documentation in the EHR
Oversee and check pharmacy technician activities
Maintain emergency drug supplies and ensure compliance with safety protocols
Qualifications:
PharmD or BS in Pharmacy
Active West Virginia Pharmacist License
Minimum 1 year of inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
Strong familiarity with Pyxis or similar automated dispensing systems
Clinical decision-making and communication skills are essential
Compensation & Benefits:
Starting at $70/hour total compensation
