We are seeking a dedicated and driven Pharmacist In Charge (PIC) to lead a brand-new outpatient specialty pharmacy in Holyoke, MA.     Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with hospital staff and other healthcare divisions.

  • Implement and manage specialty pharmacy workflows, ensuring seamless coordination between pharmacy, hospital, and providers.

  • Ensure high-quality patient care through exceptional service, communication, and adherence to best practices.

  • Maintain inventory, oversee technology systems, and ensure accurate dispensing of specialty medications.

    Requirements:

  • Must hold an active, unrestricted Massachusetts pharmacist license in good standing.

  • Minimum 2-3 years of specialty pharmacy experience.

  • Previous pharmacy management experience is required, preferably in a specialty setting.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with pharmacy staff, hospital personnel, and healthcare teams.

  • Ability to navigate the dynamics of working as a contract employee while leading within a hospital setting.

  • Strong knowledge of specialty pharmacy operations, compliance, and workflow optimization.

  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems (specific system details will be provided).
