We’re on the lookout for an experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our Ambulatory team in Philadelphia for a Benefits Investigation role. This temporary position is perfect for someone with a robust background in health plans or PBMs, specializing in benefit eligibility. The role demands top-notch communication skills and a deep understanding of patient benefits and managed care. Location: Philadelphia, PA

Start Date: September 16

Duration: 13 weeks
Setting: Hospital / Ambulatory Care 

Shift: 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM, Monday through Friday (No weekends)
Compensation: $26+/hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct benefit investigations to determine patient eligibility and coverage details.
  • Communicate effectively with health plans and PBMs to resolve benefit issues.
  • Provide exceptional support and information to patients and healthcare providers regarding benefit inquiries.
  • Manage and document communications with health plans and PBMs to ensure accurate and efficient processing.

    Qualifications:

  • Strong prior experience in health plan or PBM environments, specifically with benefit eligibility.
  • Excellent phone presence and communication skills.
  • Experience in a managed care or PBM setting is highly desired. Retail pharmacy technicians with 1-2 years of recent experience and strong communication skills with health plans/PBMs will also be considered.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPHT) required, as Pennsylvania does not regulate pharmacy technicians.
