We are seeking an experienced Inpatient Pharmacist for a contract position at a 200+ bed community hospital in Alexandria, Louisiana. This role offers a dynamic hospital environment with a rotating schedule and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient care.
Position Details:
Location: Alexandria, LA
Setting: 200+ bed community hospital
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 13 weeks (Potential for contract to hire)
Schedule: 4x10-hour shifts/week; variable and rotating
Shifts may include: 6:00 AM–4:30 PM, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM, or 12:30 PM–11:00 PM
Every other weekend required
IT Systems: EPIC, Pyxis
Key Responsibilities:
Order verification
Supervision of pharmacy technicians
Pharmacokinetics
Clinical consultations with physicians and nurses
Ensuring safe and effective medication use
Ideal Candidate:
Active Louisiana pharmacist license
Strong inpatient hospital experience
Comfortable with varying shifts and weekend rotations
Proficient in EPIC and Pyxis systems preferred
