We are looking for an experienced Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our Ambulatory team in Philadelphia for a Prior Authorization role. This 13-week contract provides thorough on-site training followed by the option to work remotely for the remainder of the contract. We’re seeking candidates with a strong background in prior authorizations, outstanding communication abilities, and a polished phone presence. Location: Philadelphia, PA

Start Date: September 16

Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM (Monday through Friday, no weekends; 8.5-hour shift with a 30-minute unpaid lunch)

Work Arrangement: On-site training for the first 8-10 weeks, followed by remote work for the remainder of the contract

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process prior authorization requests efficiently and accurately.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, patients, and insurance companies.
  • Handle and resolve prior authorization inquiries and issues.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of all interactions and processes.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

    Qualifications:

  • Strong prior authorization experience is required.
  • Experience in a managed care or prior authorization setting is highly desired. Retail pharmacy technicians with 2-3 years of recent experience and significant prior authorization experience will also be considered.
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional phone presence.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPHT) required, as Pennsylvania does not regulate pharmacy technicians.
