Position Overview:
RPh on the Go is seeking a highly skilled Compounding Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Iowa City. This role offers a unique opportunity for experienced professionals with a background in Home Infusion and clinical pharmacy to contribute to our dynamic environment.
Work Schedule:
• Monday to Friday
• 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
• Precisely prepare and compound sterile medications, including cytotoxic drugs, ensuring accuracy in single-dose preparations.
• Employ aseptic techniques and adhere to prescriber orders for all compounding activities.
• Perform rigorous quality assurance and maintain comprehensive quality control documentation to uphold sterile compounding standards.
• Manage inventory effectively to ensure consistent availability of necessary materials.
Required Qualifications:
• Proven experience in sterile compounding.
• Previous experience in Home Infusion pharmacy is highly desirable.
• Valid Iowa Pharmacy Technician License.
• Minimum of one year of relevant experience.
• Current PTCB Certification.
